Annual Solemn Requiem Mass – Mozart’s setting – 6.30pm, November 6th, 2013

For those of you close to New York City, we invite you to a special Mass on Wednesday, November 6th at 6.30pm at the Church of St. Agnes.

Our annual Solemn Requiem Mass will feature Mozart’s dramatic setting, sung by a professional choir led by James Wetzel. This is a rare opportunity to experience Mozart’s monumental musical setting of the Catholic Requiem Mass in service of the liturgy for which it was written. The Mass will be offered for the souls of our deceased family members and fellow artists.

We’re grateful to our co-sponsors and friends at The NY Purgatorial Society and the Society of St. Hugh of Cluny for helping to make this Mass possible!

Remember the Holy Souls throughout the month of November!

“The Responsibility of the Artist” with Rev. Peter John Cameron, OP – recording and photos

Here are some photos and an audio recording of last Saturday’s lecture and reception. Father Peter John Cameron gave a fascinating and inspiring presentation. We had a full house again. Thank you to all our members and the volunteers who made the evening such a success!

Here is the audio of the lecture. Before listening, we ask you to make a $2 donation to the CAS via Pay Pal. This helps us cover the costs of recording these talks and maintaining an audio archive for our members and friends. Thank you.
